The Student Campaign for Child Survival (SCCS) is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting better policies regarding child survival as part of a broader global justice agenda. Through leadership training, grassroots organizing, transformative education and direct action, SCCS seeks to mobilize a diverse movement of US students, in partnership with students internationally, to advocate for a more engaged role by government, corporations and civil society in promoting child survival programs.

Student Campaign For Child Survival Seeks To
  • mobilize, educate and train a contingent of student leaders from around the country to work together in promoting child survival
  • affect policy change by convincing elected officials to improve policies and contribute greater resources to child survival programs
  • make a direct impact on the lives of children through our Global-Local Initiative
  • raise public awareness about child survival, including mobilizing community leaders, organizations or individuals to be advocates for change
  • link the child survival issue to the larger Global Justice agenda so that all our activities will also demonstrate the need for greater attention to other global justice issues and the need for a more enlightened, engaged American foreign policy
